Our founder, double bassist, music educator and author, May Halyburton, invites children under 12 and their families, nursery and primary school classes and activity groups to explore the wonderful world of music through the eyes and sounds of the double bass.
Through our books, music, creativity and learning, Bessy Bass shares her adventures as she discovers the incredible power of music. Along the way, she learns about inclusion, friendship, kindness and having confidence in herself.
At Bessy Bass, we believe that music is for EVERYONE — and that the earlier we begin our musical journey, the better!
