If you’re looking for a fun family story time session with music to enjoy from your seat, choose “A Book and a Bass”.
If you’re aged 9-12 and you’d like to get more involved by joining in with your own instrument, vocals, or body percussion, then choose “Bessy’s Band Wagon”.

A magical storytelling and musical experience designed for nursery and primary-aged children and their familiesReady for story time with a difference? Then pack your imagination and join Bessy Bass, the lovable musical star of the Around the World with Bessy children’s book series, as she journeys across the globe on her adventures, encountering new cultures, languages, and of course, lots of musical styles!
Through a vibrant blend of live performance and interactive storytelling, creator, May Halyburton invites you into Bessy’s world, to share in her adventures and discover how music and friendship can build self confidence and create meaningful connections.

A fun, high-energy jam session for children aged 9–12Ready to make some noise? If you’re in P4–P7 and love singing, playing a portable instrument, or want to trying out body percussion, hop aboard Bessy’s Band Wagon for an upbeat musical jam session!
Join Bessy Bass to learn catchy tunes from her travels around the world, experiment with improvisation, and create music with other young performers in a lively, welcoming atmosphere. Bring an instrument if you have one — or simply bring your voice and join the fun.
Perfect for children who enjoy music, creativity and making new friends.
