Bessy was very excited to be the inspiration for some beginner double bass published by Recital Music.
Bessy’s Beginner Bass Trios by double bassist and composer David Heyes, feature pairs of trios expertly designed for the young beginner bassists. Using first and fourth positions and encouraging players to explore the other sounds possible on the instrument, these pieces tell the stories inspired by their titles. Each trio comes with a specially written short “Bessy” story to either add to rehearsal fun or be part of the performance.
Bessy Sings…
Bessy Sings… at Halloween is the first in the series of solo double bass pieces by Bessy’s musician, May Halyburton. Each publication contains three themed pieces for the beginner bass encouraging them to explore a variety of techniques as they begin their musical journey. “…at Halloween” features three spooky melodies including of Bessy own “Pumpkin Parade”
