Around the World with Bessy - Part One - Europe
This first story explores the adventures of a young double bass called Bessy, who leaves her coastal home village of Lower Largo in Scotland, to embark on a trip that visits several countries in Europe, where she is hosted by other musical friends and family. She encounters several modes of transport including that of a magical car, named Henri.
Along the way, Bessy makes new friends, learns something of the different cultures of each destination and discovers new music in a variety of styles, which the reader can listen to on the accompanying CD/download.

This is the second story in the series.
Bessy’s best friend, Suzie Saxophone, had invited her over to New York to stay with her and Bessy was frantically saving up enough money to buy her plane ticket.
Bessy was going to have her first experience of busking! She had been saving up hard for her trip but she still didn’t have nearly enough money for her flight. The world famous Edinburgh Festival Fringe had just started in Scotland’s capital city and Bessy had reserved herself a prime busking pitch.
